On August 1st, the community received this year’s proclamation of Lao American Artists Heritage Month from the Governor of Minnesota for 2022. There are of course many more events, gatherings, networks and milestones we could mention in the proclamation, but in a way, that’s why it’s important for us to revisit the ones that mean the most to us, time and time again on our own blogs and webpages, tweets and posts. As always, there are new voices constantly emerging as well, so if you have any recommendations of Lao American artists we should be thinking about, let me know in the comments below!
