Get ready for the 2021 edition of SEAPOWRIMO (Southeast Asian Poetry Writing Month), starting August 7-17th! SEAPOWRIMO first began in 2018 and has grown into a group of over 1,200 poets from the ASEAN nations and in their respective diasporas across the globe. It is free to participate in part or in whole with the majority of activities organized at their main site for SEAPOWRIMO on Facebook.
This year’s full list of country moderators will soon announced, and there will be representation from all of the ASEAN nations. I will once again be representing Laos. Writing prompts will be given each day from the moderators of each country during SEAPOWRIMO, along with various feedback, suggestions, online workshops and other special activities and giveaways as currently envisioned by the organizers.
