When you’re a Lao American poet one of the things you get used to very quickly is things getting all Lao poety. In this case, after a few months delay, my newest book, BEFORE WE REMEMBER WE DREAM has arrived, with original art by Nor Sanavongsay and a cover by Sisavanh Phoutavong Houghton from Sahtu Press.
Over at Sahtu Press there’s a new article that goes into more of the details about the collection which will be shipping shortly once we figure out what’s happening with various delivery services during COVID-19. This collection arrives just in time for National Poetry Month, the 45th anniversary of the Lao and Southeast Asian diaspora, and the 10th anniversary of the UN Convention on Cluster Munitions, and is one of my strongest collections so far. Excerpts have been performed across the US and in Laos, with more readings planned in the very near future!
You can order your copy here: https://sahtu.press/books/before-we-remember-we-dream and soon on Amazon, but it is not planned to be available in bookstores. The first edition is a limited run of 500 copies.
Thank you all for your support!
