On June 25th, Rev. Matt’s Monster Science returns to the Phoenix Theater in Minneapolis with the theme, Loveliest Of All Was The Unicorn. I’ll be part of the show this time around with a discussion on the Southeast Asian counterparts, both mythic and cryptozoological, including the Saola, Manikab, the Ghilen/Ki-Rin, and other sacred steeds and mounts of gods, heroes, and heroines of Laos and other realms.
Among the others presenting this evening will be Kate Kunkel Bailey, Hawona Sullivan Janzen, Nissa Nordland Morgan, Heather Jeanne Rand-McKay, Mickaylee Shaughnessy, Natalie Rae Wass, Tim Wick, and Jena Young!
The evening is free and begins at 7PM until 9:30PM. The Phoenix Theater is located at 2605 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis! We’ll see you there!
Rev. Matt’s Monster Science is the culmination of a lifelong obsession with monsters – any sort of monsters, mythological, cryptozoological, cinematic, paleontological – combined with a deep adoration for ranting like a maniac. We deal here in facts (about made-up stuff some of the time) and in comedy, with each giving ground to the other in its turn.
